Meet the Dentists
Dr. Ben Allred
Member of the American Dental Association
Dr. Ben Allred was born in Provo, Utah. When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Decatur, Georgia, for his father to attend dental school. He became an Eagle Scout in high school and, before college, served a two-year mission for his church in Tokyo, Japan.
Dr. Allred was always drawn to the idea of a helping profession. He earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology with an emphasis in human biology from Brigham Young University. He then graduated from Auburn University's marriage and family therapy program with a master’s degree in human development and family studies. After graduation, he worked as a mental health provider for 15 years treating individuals and families.
Mental health work was rewarding, but Dr. Allred felt like there was some unfinished business. He realized there were several advantages to dentistry, including making a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients and the potential to practice alongside his father. He earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and began practicing in 2010. Dr. Allred chose general dentistry because of the variety it allows in practice.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Allred keeps busy running, working out, reading, working in the yard, and traveling with his wife, Jen. He has one daughter and four sons.
Meet Dr. Marc Allred
Member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry
Dr. Marc Allred was born in Salmon, Idaho. His family lived in Utah until he was 8 years old and then moved to Georgia. After several more moves, Dr. Allred started his schooling in Salt Lake City, then transferred to the University of Louisiana to be closer to family. He finished his undergraduate studies there, then moved away again to pursue dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2006.
After watching his father's dental career throughout his childhood, Dr. Allred knew he wanted to help people. He enjoys medicine and believes dentistry is a good fit for him. After graduating in 2010, he went into private practice with his father and brother in Griffin, Georgia. Dr. Allred enjoys general dentistry and the variety of treatments he performs each day.
Dr. Allred married his wife in 2001, and they have one daughter and four sons. There aren’t any grandkids yet, but he is looking forward to that in the next few years!
He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing golf, tennis, and pickleball. He also enjoys meeting old friends from dental school and traveling.
Meet Our Griffin Team
Registered Dental Hygienist
Rhonda completed her core curriculum at Gordon College and attended Middle Georgia Technical College for an associate degree in dental hygiene in 2005. She joined Allred Family Dentistry in 2019 and enjoys helping to educate her patients on ways to keep their mouths and smiles healthy, along with their bodies. Rhonda really enjoys getting to know each and every patient.
Rhonda is happily married and has two grown children, a daughter and a son, and also has a granddaughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping on the family farm.
Dental Hygienist
Shawn graduated from Macon State College with a degree in dental hygiene. She has been with Allred Family Dentistry since 2006. Shawn is also a married mom of two boys. Her oldest is in college, and her youngest child is in the fifth grade.
Shawn loves spending time with her family hunting or at the lake. She describes herself as a total boy mom who loves sports, especially baseball and college football (GO DAWGS!). She also adores the family Labrador, Rip, and her home church, Christ Chapel.
Dental Technician
Patty joined the team in 2008 and is a dental technician. She trained in a dental laboratory for more than 30 years and worked with removable appliances for over 40 years. She loves helping to restore smiles.
Outside the dental office, Patty loves lake life and gardening. She is married with two children and four grandchildren.
Dental Assistant
Teresa joined Allred Family Dentistry in 2017, and she is a graduate of Griffin Technical College’s dental assisting program. She also has a range of certifications, including expanded duties, radiology, CPR, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Married with one daughter and two sons, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves to travel.
Dental Assistant
JoAnna really loves working at Allred Family Dentistry and the team we have here. She also loves listening to her patients and finding out who they are and what’s going on with them. After patients have finished their X-rays and are waiting for the doctor to come in, she sits and talks with them, making them feel comfortable in the chair.
JoAnna has two daughters, and she loves to cook. She also enjoys making homemade jerky. JoAnna is also known in and outside the office for her ability to make people laugh.
Dental Assistant
Mayumi joined the practice in 2010, and she has an associate degree in English. She loves working with Dr. Marc and her work family. She says they are the best and the funniest. The dental office would fall apart without her ability to find things! The team always asks Mayumi when they need something.
A mother of two beautiful daughters and a Baa-ba (grandma in Japanese) to her 7-year-old grandson, Mayumi loves her family so much. She also loves chocolate, Pepsi Zero, and lemon pepper wings.
Office Manager
Sheryl attended Lamar County High School and Clayton State University. She has a range of certifications, including CDA, expanded duties, radiology, HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR. Sheryl loves her job, being a part of what Dr. Robert Allred Sr. built, and helping people love their smiles.
Sheryl has been married to her high school sweetheart for 28 years. They have two daughters, one son, and one grandson. When not busy at the dental office, Sheryl loves spending time with her grandson. She also enjoys working out, reading, watching sports, and being outdoors.
Receptionist
Amanda is one of our receptionists and has been with Allred Family Dentistry since 2014. She describes herself as loud, outgoing, and fun-loving. The office would fall apart without her ability to make everyone laugh.
Married with four kids (one daughter and three sons), Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, and that includes cheering on her boys at games. She also loves going to concerts and spending time at the beach.
Receptionist
Victoria joined Allred Family Dentistry in 2019. She is a graduate of Southern Crescent Technical College and also has certifications in CPR, OSHA, and HIPAA. When not busy working at the dental office, Victoria loves going to church. She sings in the choir.
Victoria has been with her husband for over 10 years, and they have three wonderful boys. They love going to the beach and boating at the lake together.
Dental Hygienist
April attended Gordon State College, where she received an associate degree in science, and Macon State College, where she completed an associate degree in dental hygiene. She joined the team at Allred Family Dentistry in 2021 and enjoys educating her patients about how they can keep their smiles healthy.
April has been happily married to her husband, Bruce, since 2003, and they have a grown daughter, Sydney. April enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the lake, and playing with her dogs and kitties.
Meet Our Hampton Team
Dental Hygienist
Cherise joined the Allred Family Dentistry team in 2013. She is a graduate of Gordon College and Clayton State University and also has certifications in local anesthesia, CPR, HIPAA, and OSHA.
Cherise is married (since 1995) and has a daughter, a son, a son-in-law, and one granddaughter, whom she adores. In her spare time, she loves cooking, shopping, and watching GA football.
Dental Hygienist
Lindsey has both an associate degree and bachelor’s in dental hygiene. She has been with our Hampton practice since 2021.
Lindsey is married, with one cat (no kids yet). She loves spending time with her family and friends as often as she can. She is also a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. In her spare time, you’ll likely find Lindsey enjoying the outdoors; she loves hiking, walking, camping, and swimming.
Office Manager
Adriana joined the team back in 2014 and is our office manager here at the Hampton office. She is also a graduate of Griffin Technical College’s dental assisting program.
Adriana loves Jesus, is happily married, and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nephew, who is like a son to her. She also has two stepchildren. When Adriana is not at work, she’s cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs (GO DAWGS!) or working on classic car restorations with her husband.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Judi attended Columbus University and has been with Allred Family Dentistry since 2016. She loves her job and is totally obsessed with teeth (and her husband and kids!).
Judi is married with two children. Her favorite hobbies involve arts and crafts.
Receptionist
Kristi has been with us since 2013. She went to Gordon College and also has certifications in HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR. Kristi is always making people laugh at the office.
She is married to the love of her life, and together they have three amazing kids. Outside the dental office, Kristi loves all things spooky; horror movies, Halloween, and tattoos.
Dental Hygienist
Briana has an Associate of Science from Gordon State College and an Associate of Science in dental hygiene from Central Georgia Technical College. She also has certifications in local anesthesia, basic life support, HIPAA, and OSHA.
Happily engaged, Briana likes to spend time with her fiancé, family, and friends. She enjoys going to church and serving in the youth ministry. In her spare time, she also loves shopping and watching Georgia football.
Dental Hygienist
Mallory attended Central Georgia Technical College, where she completed an associate degree in dental hygiene. She is passionate about providing quality care and building lasting relationships with her patients, helping them to achieve optimal oral health.
Mallory and her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, have recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and exercising. She’s also a huge Auburn football fan.
Dental Assistant
Clayton was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Georgia in 2017 with his family. They love being here. It has always been a dream of Clayton’s to become a dentist. While there is a long journey ahead, he graduated from college in May 2024 with a degree in chemistry.
Clayton’s hobbies and interests include sports, wakesurfing, video games, Marvel, and Star Wars. He makes everyone laugh and can also speak Spanish.
Receptionist
Ashley graduated from United Education Institute’s dental assisting program in 2011 and joined Allred Family Dentistry in the same year. She now works as our front desk receptionist.
Ashley is married with twin daughters. Her family also has a dog and a cat. She enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, camping, and traveling. Her other hobbies include crafting, making cups, shirts, and various other items.
